I P.R'd 21:29 for 1500m swim w/o a wetsuit, 1:26 pace, 25mph avg on the bike which was mostly hilly. 39min for the 10k run which i whink was long, not my best, but after a killer swim and bike, who can complain. Very satisfied with my performance. Click on link for results
  • Boulder Peak Triathlon
19th overall/1600 athletes. 5th age group. Not the greatest time of finish for me, but since i peaked perfect for nationals, it didnt bother me one bit.
  • 5430 Long Course
Wow... 18th Overall, 6th overeall amateur beating 3 professionals. 1st in my age group by 5 minutes, winning 70$. A 13 minute P.R. of 4:20.08. This win gave me enough points to win the boulder triathlon series in my age group giving me 250$.

  • South Carolina Half
7th overall, 5th amateur. Age group winner 20-24 by over 20 minutes. 22 minutes better than last years time over the same course, and 7 spots higher. Nice way to end the season. Led the bike from mile 10 to mile 55 by and land slide behind the police lead car.
  • Turkey Trot 5k

2005 Race Results
  • Tampa, FL Gasparilla 5k
A P.B. for me..16:08 5k, 10th overall.......... i think i could of done better, but they didnt have the mile markers marked. You would think if 6500 runners were doing the 5k, at an international race, they should mark them?
  • Crazy Dicks Sprint Triathlon
1st age group, 5th overall, 1st race of 2005, before i got mono.
  • Disney Half Ironman
Clearly, someone with Mono shouldn't be racing, but i trained so hard for this in mind and over did it. But i went after it anyway with mono. The swim and bike werent as bad as i thought, in fact i had top 25 fastest bike time, the run killed me. I placed 6th in my age group and 60th overall. 2006 will be better. I hold the 6th fastest course record in my age group there, I hope to change that in 2006
  • Top gun Triathlon sprint
7th overall, 1st in age group by 8 minutes. 6 minute improvement from last years sprint. This seems to be a very competitive sprint every year, this was my 2nd try at it.
  • Vermont Journey Half Ironman
10th overall and 1st age group by 45 minutes. Total time was 4:43. I was really ready for this race. REsted very well. I was 16th out of the water overall, and there were 4 loops on the bike course totalling 56 miles. After the first loop i had already moved into 7th overall, i was flying. On the 2nd loop i got a flat tire, it was raining and wet and since they were tubulars, this would be my first time, i lost a lot of time. Then soon after that, my rear hub started to free wheel, so i stopped about 4 times and it finally locked in and i never stopped pedaling. I lost nearly 20 mintutes on the bike. I didnt lose my cool which is the best part of it all and ran a personal best in the half 1:30. Ran myself back into 10th overall. A great learning race. My bike recorded 2:25, so my time would of been 4:25 on a hilly course, if i didnt get those darn tire problems, atleast i didnt let it get the best of me.
  • Disney Olympic Distance
Mom, Joe, Brendan, and Josh's Results
  • South Caronlina half ironman
Well, this was sort of a spur of the moment race right after the disney olympic disntance which i didnt do all that great at either. Both were still a lot of fun. I bonked on the run and my right knee was really bothering me, i was glad to finish the year. I drove up the day before with the best training partner Andres, who destroyed the race and got 4th. I on the other hand placed 1st in my age group and 14th overall.
